Discount cards make it possible to offer selected customers an exclusive treatment to thank them for their loyalty or to encourage them to make a new booking.

Unlike the 'Generic Discount' promotion, the Discount card is not visible on the marketplace.

How to create a Discount Card

To create a Discount card, you need to go to the 'Promotions' section of the Treatwell Pro side menu and click on the '+' icon to create a new promotion (or on the 'add a new one' link in the middle of the screen).

On the Promotions window that will open, choose "Discount Card".

To create a Discount Card, you will need to fill in the following details:

  • Name of the discount card (it may be related to the customer's name to further customise the promo).

  • Type and value: choose the services and/or products eligible for the discount and the percentage discount, as well as any limitations (e.g. make the card valid only with certain staff members or exclude treatments from the promo).

  • Activation: with this option, it is possible to define the time frame (days and/or times) in which the discount card can be purchased. It is advisable to also indicate an expiry date (even a long-term one), so as not to lose track of active promotions.

  • Validity: refers to the time (the hours and/or days) in which the promotion is redeemable by the customer.

After entering all the required data, click on the "Continue" button below to create the discount card. All characteristics of the promotion can be changed at a later date by clicking on the 'Edit' button next to each entry.

How to associate a discount card with a customer

If you wish to associate the discount card with a specific customer, just follow these simple steps:

  1. From the "Cash" section, select the customer on whom you wish to apply the promo.

  2. After selecting the customer, click on the "Subscriptions and Promos" button.

  3. Click on the "+" icon and choose the "Discount Card" option from the list.

  4. Select "Activate" to make the promotion active.

Once the Discount Card has been activated, Treatwell Pro will automatically apply the promotion provided by the card every time the beneficiary customer makes a payment.

How to deactivate a discount card from a customer

To be able to deactivate the discount card from the customer, you need to go to the 'Promotions' section, select the promo from the list and click on the 'Active Customers' button at the top right, locate the customer's name and click on the recycle bin to delete it.

How to delete a discount card

To delete a discount card go to the "Promotions" section, select the discount card in question and click on the "Delete" button.

A secondary window similar to the one in the screenshot below will appear:

  • Selecting "Delete for Everyone" will disassociate the membership from all customers and no new associations will be allowed;

  • With the option "Delete only for future customers", the promo will remain active only for customers who have already been associated until the expiry date, while it will not be possible to associate new customers.
