With Treatwell Pro it is possible to create and sell prepaid credit that clients can use to purchase treatments and products, even at discounted prices. Clients can buy the promotion for themselves or as a gift to give to a friend or family member.
How to create prepaid credit
To create a "prepaid credit" promo, you will need to go to the "Promotions" section of the side menu and click on the "+" button or the "Create a new one" link in the centre of the page.
From the "Add New Promo" window, click on "Prepaid Credit" to open the edit page.
On the promo creation page, you will need to enter the following information:
Prepaid credit name: this is the name under which the prepaid credit is registered in the Treatwell Pro promotions list. You can add a description of the promotion and its benefits.
Type and value: enter the main characteristics of the prepaid credit, including the amount, which corresponds to the amount spent by the client, and any discounts associated with the credit. (E.g. with a credit of €100 you will receive a 20% discount on services, so the actual value of the promotion will be €120);
Activation: set the time frame for which the credit will be purchasable.
Validity: the period of validity of the credit.
After entering all the required data, click on the "Continue" button at the bottom to create the promotion: the page will preview the characteristics of the prepaid credit. By clicking on the 'Edit' buttons at the side, you can change the characteristics of the promotion at any time.
How to Sell and Associate Prepaid Credit
Prepaid credit can be purchased by the client for themselves or as a promo to give to another person - how to sell in cash and associate the promo, therefore, varies slightly.
Purchasing prepaid credit for personal use
If the client buys prepaid credit for him/herself:
go to the "Cash" area of Treatwell Pro and search for the client;
click on the "Bundles and Promotions" button in the right-hand corner.
click on the "+" icon and choose the "Prepaid credit" option
select the promotion of your choice;
click on "Sell" and choose the payment method;
choose 'Personal' and select the staff member.
By following this procedure, the promotion is automatically associated with the client and will be visible at the cash desk in the "Bundles and Promotions" section. It is applied each time the customer passes through the salon, until the credit is used up or the promo expires.
Purchasing prepaid credit as a gift
If the client buys prepaid credit as a gift for another person:
go to the "Cash" area of Treatwell Pro and search for/enter the name of the client who is purchasing the promo;
click on the "Subscriptions and Promos" button in the right-hand corner;
click on the "+" icon and choose the "Prepaid credit" option;
select prepaid credit;
click on 'Sell' and choose the payment method;
choose 'Gift' and select the staff member.
In this case, the prepaid credit can be associated with the person who will receive the gift when they come to the salon.
How to combine prepaid credit
To associate prepaid credit with a client (when not automatically associated by Treatwell), you will need to follow the instructions below:
go to the "Cash" section of the side menu and select the client to whom you wish to associate the promo;
click on the "Subscriptions and promos" button and on the "+" symbol
select the prepaid credit;
click on "Associate".
By following this procedure, the promotion is automatically associated with the client and will be visible at the cash desk in the "Bundles and Promotions" section. It is applied each time the customer passes through the salon until the credit is used up or the promo expires.
How to disassociate a prepaid credit
To deactivate prepaid credit on the other hand, you need to follow these steps;
go to the "Promotions" section of the side menu;
search for the promo from the list and select it;
click on the "Active Clients" button in the top right-hand corner;
search for the client in question and click on the orange file icon;
follow the on-screen instructions for deactivating and archiving the promo.
How to delete prepaid credit
To delete prepaid credit, the procedure to follow is as follows:
go to the "Promotions" section of the side menu;
search for and select the prepaid credit you wish to delete;
click on the "Delete" button in the top left-hand corner;
Click on the "Confirm" button to permanently delete the promotion from the management system.
