A discount package is a promotion that allows a client to have a discounted rate when booking several services that are combined with each other. With Treatwell Pro you can create customised discount packages for a specific period of time or for a special occasion, in order to encourage clients to book.
How to create a package
You can create a discount package either from the 'Promotions' section or from the 'Treatwell' area of the management menu.
Create a discount package from the Promotions section
Go to the "Promotions" section of the side menu and click on the "+" button or on the "Create a new one" link in the centre of the page.
In the "Add new promotion" window, choose the "Package" option.
On the promotion creation page, you can enter the following data:
Name promo package: the name you want to assign to the promotion and a brief description of what it includes.
Type and value: enter the combination of services for which it is possible to obtain a discount. The drop-down menu allows you to add both services and variations of services created by the salon. Enter the discounted prices for each individual service to make up the final cost.
Activation: here you can set a time period (from... to...) for which the promotion will be available. You can also leave these fields blank to make the package bookable at any time.
Validity: set the days of the week on which the package is available for booking, as well as the times, the maximum number of uses and a possible expiry date for the promotion. If the expiry date is changed later by the salon, the discounted price will still be valid for customers who have already purchased the promotion.
Redemption: here you can decide how the client can redeem the package. With automatic redemption, the promotion will be visible online and will be applied automatically in the cash section every time there are services combined with a client. With the code, on the other hand, the promotion will have to be applied manually.
After entering all the required data, click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page to create the package. All features of the promotion can be changed later by clicking on the 'Edit' button next to each section.
The discount package is visible on the Treatwell Marketplace and can therefore be booked online. You can also enter the package directly in a booking from the appointment screen in Calendar.
Creating a discount package from the Menu section
Go to the "Menu" section and click on the "Packages" section at the top left. All existing packages will be listed.
To create a new one, click on the "+" sign to add the name and description of the promo.
Click on "Add Service" to select the treatments to be included in the package and their discounted prices.
Click on "Continue" to create the package.
How to associate a package with a client
If the promotion is activated automatically, it will be present and active in the "Cash" section. If the promotion is with an activation code, it must be activated by following these steps
From the "Cash" section, click on the client to whom the package is to be associated;
Click on the "Subscriptions and Promotions" button at the top right;
Click on the "+" icon to display the packages and select the desired one;
You can choose whether to redeem the package with a code or automatically. If you have the code, enter it and press "Activate".
How to delete a discount package
To delete a newly created or previously saved package, go to the "Promotions" area of the side menu, search for the promo from the list on the side and click on the red "Delete" button at the top left of the screen.
Please note: Before deleting, it is advisable to check for any customers associated with the promo and deactivate them.
