Treatwell gift cards are a great way to treat someone that you care for if you're not sure which treatment or salon is their favourite.

The gift cards need to be used on the Marketplace as a payment method when a client is placing an order.

However, if a client has given you a gift card in the salon as their form of payment, here's what you can do to make sure you receive the payment:

If the client has not yet made a booking on Treatwell:

  1. Ask your client to visit your salon listing on the Treatwell marketplace.

  2. The client should add the treatment being received to their basket, and click "choose a time"

  3. Depending on your availability and settings, you might not have an available appointment slot right away. Don't worry, select the next available slot.

  4. The client can add the gift card to the checkout page, and pay any remaining balance by PayPal or debit card.

  5. Once the booking has been made, you can then reschedule it in Treatwell Pro to the time and place that the treatment actually happened.

  6. You'll receive the payment for the booking in your next invoice.

If the client has already left, you'll need to contact them so that they can complete the above steps.

If the client has already made a (pay at venue) booking on Treatwell:

  1. You or the client should cancel the booking

  2. Ask the client to visit your salon listing on the Treatwell marketplace

  3. The client should add the treatment being received to their basket, and click "choose a time"

  4. Depending on your availability and settings, you might not have an available appointment slot right away. Don't worry, select the next available slot.

  5. The client can add the gift card to the checkout page, and pay any remaining balance by PayPal or debit card.

  6. Once the booking has been made, you can then reschedule it in Treatwell Pro to the time and place that the treatment actually happened.

  7. You'll receive the payment for the booking in your next invoice.

If the value of the gift card is less than the cost of treatments received, you'll need to arrange the payment of the remaining balance in the salon.

If the client has already made a (pre-paid) booking on Treatwell:

In this case, you can either:

  1. Cancel and refund the client's booking in full, and follow the steps above to create a new one using the gift card

  2. Ask the client to use their gift card on their next pre-paid booking, remembering to add it to the checkout page.
